BON VOYAGE Bally (USA)Set up, plays!NeverDave Christensen appreciation, and cool (for the time) asymmetrical playfield.
CENTAUR Bally (USA)Set up, plays!NeverTruly awesome. Fantastic sound. Multiball kick out attract mode effect is the sh*t. Gameplay deceptively simple, but quite hard and a real player's game. Fantastic Paul Faris art. This specimen needs some work, and I will be updating it with a new PF.
FIREBALL Bally (USA)Set up, plays!NeverThis machine is a masterpiece of pinball innovation and pure gameplay pleasure. A true tour de force, both in game design and art. Truly deserves the classic status it tends to have in the collector community, despite not ranking as high as it should on the various lists. Not sure why that is. Maybe some see it as a flail fest, which was true for me until I learned how to look at its shots and features more strategically (see Black Knight's YouTube tutorial for example).
FUN CRUISE Bally (USA)In storage, workingYes!

Not a normal pinball machine, it has no flippers! Didn't realize that until after I bought it - just kidding. I like the Molentin art, and plan to tweak it enough to be a reasonably fun oddity for visitors. Pretty rare.
FUNHOUSE Williams (USA)Set up, plays!NeverMy first pin, might get buried with me
GHOSTBUSTERS LE Stern (USA)Set up, plays!MaybeGreat game. Naysayers are missing out on a lot of fun. Just needs some simple adjustments and mods to smooth out some of the tendency to drain.
GORGAR Williams (USA)In storage, waiting for restorationMaybeGood playfield and backglass, needs new electronics
IRON MAN Stern (USA)Set up, plays!NeverFast, aggressive game with great music and sound FX
ROCK 'N ROLL Williams (USA)In storage, workingMaybeMore fun than it looks, with nice and uncommon pop art styling.
SORCERER Williams (USA)Set up, plays!MaybeArtwork and sound fave
SPACE SHUTTLE Williams (USA)Set up, plays!NeverGot into Space Station first, but this is the precursor and really has great gameplay, so was hard to resist adding to my collection.
SPACE STATION Williams (USA)Set up, plays!MaybeIt's a blast, good flow, fast, hard shots, great light show.
TARGET ALPHA Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!Yes!

Gottlieb's best layout, always fun and challenging.
VOLTAN ESCAPES COSMIC DOOM Bally (USA)Set up, plays!NeverDave Christensen's magnum opus. This specimen was restored by Clay Harrell and Co., mainly clear coating the playfield and super-tuning all the mechs, so it plays fast and sweet. A fun challenging game when set up properly like this. The playfield art restoration is pretty good, but would like a new PF some day if anyone ever runs one.

300 Gottlieb (USA)Sold Interesting scoring focused mostly on earning bonus, and has a nice tricky shot to collect bonus during ball. Plays nice and fast, feels more modern like an SS-style game.
A-GO-GO Williams (USA)Sold Loved the art (big fan of Kelley's), but never quite liked the spread out flipper layout with the roulette thing in the middle. Also had trouble keeping it working. This specimen was in good condition otherwise, sold it when regrettably clearing out my first collection in 2001.
BARRACORA Williams (USA)Sold Bought it mainly for the backglass -- the coolest image in all pinball. Gameplay was kind of basic, but I might not have understood all the rules -- did not have it very long. This specimen was in very good condition, sold it when regrettably clearing out my first collection in 2001.
BLACKOUT Williams (USA)Sold Nice range of shots, great but challenging primary spinner shot. Blackout effect is not so impressive, but would be cool if connected to house lights :-)
BREAKSHOT Capcom (USA)Sold Solid game, very well built, but needed space for other machines.
CENTAUR Bally (USA)Sold Truly awesome. Fantastic sound. Multiball kick out attract mode effect is the sh*t. Gameplay deceptively simple, but quite hard and a real player's game. Fantastic Paul Faris art. This specimen was in very good condition, sold it when regrettably clearing out my first collection 2001. Replaced with another decent specimen that will become a restoration project.
CIRQUS VOLTAIRE Midway (USA)Sold Bought this brand new after seeing it get made in the factory tour. Love the art, unique for the industry. Game play was also decent. Got a bit tired of the sound though, a bit too hyperbolic. This specimen was in perfect condition, sold it when regrettably clearing out my first collection in 2001. Would be worth three times what I paid now, wish I could have anticipated that.
FIREPOWER Williams (USA)Sold Great flow, very fast, but once you mastered the shots it was too easy to beat. Still like to check in on it once in a while to see if I can nail the multiball sequence. Hate the art though, that was a real miss. Could have taken much better inspiration than random Jack Kirby monsteroids and space widgets. This specimen was in very good condition with a perfect and super fast nicely waxed playfield, sold it when regrettably clearing out my first collection in 2001.
FLASH Williams (USA)Sold Fun, fast, good flow. Hard to find clean specimens without playfield wear, planking, or insert cupping. Backglasses are also rarely in good shape.
GILLIGAN'S ISLAND Midway (USA)Sold Great starter pin, always fun to revisit, but had to rotate out for more space.
JOHNNY MNEMONIC Williams (USA)Sold Fast and fun!
JUNGLE LORD Williams (USA)Sold Acquired on a lark, learned to really like it, maybe better than Black Knight (similar two-tiered play field). Decent Constantino Mitchell art (who I like, but admit is not always good). This specimen was in good condition, sold it when regrettably clearing out my first collection in 2001.
MINI-ZAG Bally (USA)Sold Jerry Kelley and Ted Zale, funky fun, nice specimen that just needed a few tweaks to get fully working.
OLD CHICAGO Bally (USA)Sold Dave Christensen appreciation
OXO Williams (USA)Sold Interesting EM for having sophisticated tic-tac-toe rules, but which also adds technical complexity with lots of additional relays and connections to service and making the game heavier than most. Nice example of pointy people art. Also has a great reset thunk to it because of the heavy reset bar under the playfield for all the extra switches.
ROCKMAKERS Bally (USA)Sold Another Kelley/Zale encounter.
ROYAL FLUSH Gottlieb (USA)Sold One of about 6 classic 70s Gottliebs every collections should have.
SEA RAY Bally (USA)Sold Marche's best pointy people backglass. Fun game, though perhaps heavy on randomized scoring features.
STINGRAY Stern (USA)Sold Replaced all displays with refurbs, machine is clean and plays well. Pretty interested in selling though.
THE SHADOW Midway (USA)Sold Hard to resist the sanctum lock effect, but also a very hard game with shots that kept throwing me off from others.
TRON: LEGACY Stern (USA)Sold My first Stern, great game, great music!
TWILIGHT ZONE Midway (USA)Sold Typically mixed start/stop flow from Lawlor, but lots of great toys and kind of mesmerizing for all the historic sound references. This specimen was in great condition, sold it when regrettably clearing out my first collection in 2001. Wish I still had it though.
VECTOR Bally (USA)Sold Grows on you, lots of great sounds, unusual game play
WHITE WATER Williams (USA)Sold Fairly unique gameplay and concept, distinctive music and sounds. A bit low key, which is nice when you need that style of playing rather than something overly pumped up. This specimen was in great condition, sold it when regrettably clearing out my first collection in 2001.
WIZARD Bally (USA)Sold Dave Christensen appreciation
XENON Bally (USA)Sold Nostalgic favorite, but not much in the way of gameplay. Fantastic Paul Faris art. This specimen was in medium to good condition, sold it when regrettably clearing out my first collection in 2001.
