FLYING CARPET Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverThis is the second time I have owned a Flying Carpet. I traded my first pinball, Williams "Jive Time" for my original Flying Carpet and sold it so getting one again is like having an old friend back again. I got this machine from Pinball Revival in Navato, California. I had e-mailed the owner asking him to let me know whenever he had a "Flying Carpet" in his inventory. Well, in 4 minutes, he e-mailed from his Blackberry that he had just gotten this machine in. I am lucky to have this machine because it had been in private ownership for 15 years and the last owner took good care of it. If there is any member with special knowledge of Flying Carpet, I need a tune-up. The word spell red special does not work now. I did get a 2018 comment from John, my computer tech that my back glass was in amazing shape, like a new one. My latest high score is 4620 when you need 5100 for a new game. Ball gets stuck on the right exit lane a lot. I already raised the front legs with two furniture skids on each leg. When my computer repair guy visits to update my PC he always comments on the good condition of the back glass of my Flying Carpet.

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND Gottlieb (USA)Sold I owned a Close Encounters of the Third Kind for 3 years and sold it because of a weak flipper. My pet bird "Buddy" used to follow the ball around the playing field which added to my fun!
JIVE TIME Williams (USA)Sold This was my first Pinball machine purchased back in the day when no one would sell Arcade machines. I paid $600 for it to a retired Pinball Mechanic in Los Angeles. I rented a Ford Courier Pickup truck just to get this machine. I got bored with it so traded for my first Flying Carpet. Now I wish I had a Jive Time again!
