BANK SHOT Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPicked up outside of Columbus, Ohio on October 4, 2022. This game is historically significant to pinball as it was the game that Roger Sharpe played to lift the pinball ban in New York. This is an incredibly, interesting story that's worth a Google. Such a great addition.
BRONCO Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPicked up for $400 in Altoona, PA on 2/1/20. First project machine. Took a decent amount of troubleshooting to get up and running.
CLEOPATRA Gottlieb (USA)Set up, needs some workNeverTraded my Surf Champ to Pinball PA on 8/5/22. Game needs some cleaning and gone through before being put in the lineup.
COW POKE Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPurchased in Medina, OH on 1/27/21. This is an Add-A-Ball version of the game Buckaroo which is currently in the collection and will be available to be sold/traded once I have Cow Poke ready to replace it in the lineup.
DELUXE SUPER SLUGGER United (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPicked up for free in Tonawanda, NY (about 2 hours away near Buffalo). Yes, free! The two brothers were moving their parents to Florida and just wanted it to go to a home where it will be brought back to life. I even offered a minimal case of beer and they said it was not necessary. They were so glad that the first three people in line before me fell through because they knew that I was the person that was destined to have it and would love it and get it back to 100%. This is absolutely beautiful! They also gave me a 1941 Genco Victory (pre-flipper) game for free as well!
DIAMOND JACK Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPurchased on 9/4/21 in Bear Creek, Pennsylvania. Game is in beautiful condition and will proudly sit next to it's Add-A-Ball siblings in the lineup.
FASHION SHOW Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPurchased on 11/30/20 in Pittsburgh from PAPA (Professional and Amateur Pinball Association) as part of their liquidation process. This is a game that dad used to play in the local arcade. When purchased, the cabinet was sanded and coated in poly. The cabinet was sanded, filled and repainted back to the original design.
FREE FALL Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPicked up for dad (Randy) on July 16, 2021. Very clean inside which made for a quick few hours getting it back to full speed again. Some playfield wear and pooly done back glass touch-ups but too fun of a game to pass up and add to his lineup. This is his first Add-A-Ball game.
FREEDOM Bally (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPicked this up off of Craigslist in Wooster, Ohio on 2/17/20 (President's Day coincidentally) for $450. Owner could not get it running. Finally got to look at it. One switch on the Game Over Relay was out of adjustment, not making contact. Had it running in 10 minutes! Dad helped clean the score wheels, pulled the plastics and rubbers. Waiting for the rubber kit to arrive and play! Fun fact: Bally also created Freedom as their first Solid State using the playfield and glass as the EM version. Freedom was made in 1976 to commemorate 200 years of independence.
JUNGLE QUEEN Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPurchased on 6/8/20 in Hubbard, OH. Everything is in beautiful shape inside and out. Cleanest machine thus far. Two owners previous tried doing some troubleshooting and did a little more harm than good. I was able to return things to their proper state and now she's officially in the lineup! I'm thinking that the double flippers will take some getting used to...
KINGS & QUEENS Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPurchased at Pinball Expo 2022 from a collector/friend in Colleyville, Texas. I gave dad first dibs. I told him that I would either fix it to sell or I'd fix it and trade him for any of his games to upgrade his collection. Out came "Fashion Show" and in went this classic game. Good choice dad.
LUCKY HAND Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPurchased on July 2, 2020 in Roechester, New York. First true Add-A-Ball game in the collection. Great game in amazing condition.
MAJORETTES Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverTraded for this game on June 5, 2021 out of Columbiana, Ohio. I posted a week ago that I hoped to get this one done as soon as possible. I had one in my shop from a collector out of New York a few months back. When I saw the game, I thought it was going to be terrible and I ended up loving it and the hunt began. Only 425 games made. Quite rare and as you can see it's beautiful.
MAYFAIR Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPurchased from a collector outside of Pittsburgh 3/5/20. Beautiful game in beautiful condition. Toughest game we own for sure but still a lot of fun.
MELODY Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPurchased a Williams High Speed for a good price to use as trade bait. The trade was made to the Roanoke Pinball Museum. Very happy to have this one in the collection as well.
NORTH STAR Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverFirst machine. Purchased in Clarion, PA on 1/12/20 for dad's 63rd birthday. His favorite machine growing up. Hadn't played it in 50 years. Repainted to original design. At purchase, cabinet was etched pretty badly and right side was painted black. Sanded, filled, sanded, taped and painted. Prior to purchase, seller purchased it on eBay on 8/20/18 from a seller in Butler, PA of whom purchased it from another gentleman also in Butler. Prior, machine was stored in a garage since 1980 when it was purchased from a bar that had closed.
PLAYMATES Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPickup in Michigan from a collector in Waukesha, Wisconsin on 5/16/21 to "upgrade" Domino to Add-A-Ball.
POP-A-CARD Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPicked up in Eden, NY on 8/14/22. Game is in nice cosmetic shape and 100%.
ROYAL FLUSH Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPicked up in Warren, Ohio from a collector in exchange for work on 10/8/21. This the "final" game to complete the den collection of Gottlieb 4-Players. Fun game.
SHOW BOAT Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverLongest haul to date. Picked up on 5/15/20 from a family in Huntington, West Virginia (6 miles from Kentucky). 11 hour round trip. This was one on dad's wishlist from his childhood. Needed a few minor repairs but in great shape.
TARGET ALPHA Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPicked up in Corry, PA on 12/12/20 along with a Gottlieb Vulcan. Restored Vulcan back to 100% for the owner and was given Target Alpha as payment for my work.
TEAM ONE Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverGame was purchased out of Toronto, Ontario and transported by friends to Buffalo, NY where I was able to pick it up on November 28, 2022. I very much appreciate both of you. Team One is a soccer themed Add-A-Ball version of the game Abra Ca Dabra. This cabinet has the same design (with green instead of orange) as Gottlieb's Super Soccer.
TROPIC ISLE Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPicked up in Barboursville, West Virginia. When I bought dad our first game called North Star, I reminded him that he told me it was his favorite game from his arcade days as a young teenager. He then jokingly said, "Did I tell you the name of my second favorite game?" Well, this is it. Happy to have it here in the lineup and happy for dad!
VOLLEY Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverPurchased from a collector in Pittsburgh, PA on May 17, 2021. Up for trade for a Gottlieb Add-A-Ball Wedge.
VULCAN Gottlieb (USA)Set up, plays!NeverAbsolutely beautiful and plays incredibly well. This is a game that my wife requested because she enjoyed playing the two-player version (Fire Queen) at PinballPA in Pittsburgh. Curious if it's the game or the guy in the backglass she likes more....
Pinball machines that mjhale22 used to own in the past
(the following games are no longer part of mjhale22's collection)

AZTEC Williams (USA)Sold Pulled it out of an unfinished basement in Indiana, PA on 1/29/20. Musty and in need of a good cleaning. Removed everything from the bottom board and sanded it as well as the inside of the entire cabinet to remove the smell and filth. Cleaned and filed every relay switch in the cabinet. Needed bulb changes, replaced all springs on the steppers and did some work on the chime unit. Sold on 3/28/20
BUCKAROO Gottlieb (USA)Sold Purchased on 5/21/20 from the same collector in Clarion, PA that sold me our first machine, North Star and also Domino. Game is in beautiful shape. It came with Corral Roto Wheel; was able to drill and move the wipers into the correct position for Buckaroo. #1 on my wish list and proudest game in the collection. Sold on 5/3/21
DOMINO Gottlieb (USA)Sold All of the work done to fix and restore Aztec (sold 3/28/20 to a nice family in Youngstown, OH) was to sell it and buy Domino (bought 3/29/20). Purchased from the same collector in Clarion, PA that sold me our first machine, North Star. Since I played my first pinball with a roto target (Spin Out) a few months back, I knew I wanted one. As much as I enjoy fixing and tinkering, it's nice to have one that's plug and play. Sold on 5/31/21 back to the collector from whom I purchased it.
EXTRA INNING Gottlieb (USA)Sold Picked up in a trade/cash deal for Rescue 911 on 4/24/21. Cabinet was stripped and clear coated by a previous owner. I'm going to leave it as is since it will not be staying in the collection. Sold on 6/14/21 to a childhood friend and biggest baseball fan that I personally know.
FACES Sonic (Spain)Sold Purchased on August 19, 2020 from a friend in Erie, PA. Playfield and back glass are in perfect condition. Needed gone through completely but now running 100%. Traded for s Spirit of 76 at Allentown Pinfest on 7/30/21.
FAN-TAS-TIC Williams (USA)Sold Picked up in Mars, PA 2/23/20. Previous owner cut Jones Plug wires (wires going from cabinet to back box) and seller spliced them back together. Wires were crossed when splicing sending 25v though the entire backbox rather than 25v to coils and 6v to lights. This was disclosed before the sale. After some thought, decided to unband all of the wires and trace the two 6v wires from the very front of the machine through the entire cabinet to the back box to find the crossed wire being wired into a 25v wire to the chime unit. Unsolder and resolder and we're up and alive again! Three "Spin" kickouts to spin the bonus wheel under the playfield earn accumulated bonus and other features. Center drain pop bumper is a really cool feature. Side gate bonus opens in right drain to return ball to ball lane as well as drain kicker in left drain. Unique and fun game with a lot of action. Sold to a friend on 6/1/21.
FAST DRAW Gottlieb (USA)Sold Won in an eBay auction on 2/28/21 out of Warren, Ohio. Some playfield wear due to some critters and lack of maintenance. Plays 100% and more fun than I thought it would be. Sold on 10/25/21 to a collector in Toronto.
HIGH HAND Gottlieb (USA)Sold Dad's first purchase. Purchased from a collector/restorer in Erie, PA on 1/18/20. Beautifully done and detailed restoration. Sold on 5/21/20 to a collector near Harrisburg, PA
JUMPING JACK Gottlieb (USA)Sold Purchased August 6, 2020 in East Liverpool, Ohio. Playfield has water damage. Purchased a playfield to replace it. Sold 2/21/21
LINE DRIVE Williams (USA)Sold Picked up in a trade for a Bally Nashville Bingo Machine. Our first Pitch & Bat. Very fun game and guest favorite. Runs 100% including back glass animation.
ODDS & EVENS Bally (USA)Sold Being sold in Ithaca, NY. The nice couple agreed to meet in Buffalo on 3/25/20. It was definitely sitting for a while and needed a good cleaning but looks in great condition underneath it all. A fun project during the weeks of social distancing due to Corona Virus. Sold on 6/17/21 to a local looking to add a game to his man cave.
RESCUE 911 Gottlieb (USA)Sold Picked in a trade for a Valley Dart Board in Corry, PA on 5/2/20. First Solid State (Digital) in the collection. Sold in a trade (Extra Inning) and cash deal to a gentleman in Buffalo, NY on 4/24/21.
SPIRIT OF 76 Gottlieb (USA)Sold At the time, I picked this up, it was #1 on my wish list. This was a game that my wife wanted. Traded my Sonic Faces for this game. Another Gottlieb late 70's 4-player to add to the collection. Gifted to my wife's uncle on 2/18/21. This was his favorite game when he was a teenager and the reason why we bought the game.
STOCK MARKET Bally (USA)Sold Our first Bingo. Purchased on eBay on September 3, 2020. Located in a flea market outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Needs some work to be fully operational. Sold on 3/14/21
SURF CHAMP Gottlieb (USA)Sold Picked this one up back on March 15, 2021. It sat in the shop for a while until I was able to get some other projects done. The final touch was the spinner decal to cover up the incorrect spinner. (Thanks Al Freud!) My phone video shutter doesn't capture it too well but the spinner is "animated" to show a girl surfing when it's hit. Fun Fact: The very first game that I bought was from finding it on this website. The collector's name on the website was "surfchamp". It's only fitting that I have the game that is his favorite in the collection.
TOP CARD Gottlieb (USA)Sold Purchased from an antique mall in Duncansville, PA on July 1, 2020. Needed a little tune up but now is working 100%
TRIPLE STRIKE Williams (USA)Sold Purchased 2/8/21 for $200 on Facebook Marketplace. Our second Triple Strike. Sold to a collector from Pittsburgh, PA on 3/13/21.
TRIPLE STRIKE Williams (USA)Sold Purchased as a first project for my father and I to work on together in Phillipsburg, PA on 4/19/21. New back glass from BGResto.
