AC/DC PREMIUM Stern (USA)Sold i really wanted one for ages, but when i got it home i discovered that i didn't really enjoy it much, and would instead play almost anything else that was more fun - which was everything. so i sold it within 6 months. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
ADVENTURES OF ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE AND FRIENDS Data East (USA)Sold all good things must come to an end. this was my second R&B, but when i was thinning down the herd to my final 12, it didn't make the cut. good, but some pins are even better. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
ADVENTURES OF ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE AND FRIENDS Data East (USA)Sold i bought this for a song, as it was knackered and had the back of the cab missing. fixed cab, took machine apart and cleaned it (my first shop job), replaced power driver board, and spent an age trying to recreate the Nell log mechanism, with only partial success. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
APOLLO 13 Sega (USA)Sold 13 ball multiball, not much else to say about it. looks nice too. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
APOLLO 13 Sega (USA)Sold will add info later. currently out on loan at a friend's place. Hopefully when I get it back he will have fixed it up. THIS ONE HAS SADLY NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :'(
AVATAR Stern (USA)Sold a lot more fun than i expected, but also too hard for me. i wrote a rulesheet for this game with lots of pictures in it. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
BACK TO THE FUTURE Data East (USA)Sold wicked dudes. who won't enjoy the task of getting a Delorean up to 88mph and then going back in time to meet their own mother and father? fab soundtrack too. you don't see these about too often so i grabbed this when i had the chance. as themes go this is one of the coolest out there, which is why you don't see too many of these on the market. check out the horrendous images of Michael J Fox after he wouldn't allow his pic to go on the machine - apparently that's the son of one of the designers. Christopher LLoyd had no problem selling his image rights for this (also as Fester on TAF) and is memorable in this film from a pinhead perspective for the memorable line where he says he sold a fake bomb to some terrorists, that was really a bunch of old pinball machine parts :). , There's even a fun flyer for this game which has Gary Stern on it as Doc Brown. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :'(
BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA Williams (USA)Sold my second Dracula, a nice example. i had the Drac figure modified to look even more like Ron Jeremy than it already did, with RJ facial hair, a leopard print shirt, blingy jewellery, and a golden dildo award
BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA Williams (USA)Sold Man i love this game. When i have finished my mission of moving on games to try new ones, this is definitely a title i will go back for. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
CONGO Williams (USA)Sold lovely jubby, i'd wanted a Congo for a while so was happy to grab this one. it has plenty of shots, ace dots and sounds, it's very colourful, has several multiballs, three flippers and a lower playfield as well. it will be a while before i move this one on. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON Midway (USA)Sold fantastic game, only sold when i found a nicer example. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
CSI Stern (USA)Sold My first ever Stern game. i enjoyed it, loads of fun with the centrifuge and Skull multiballs stacked, but i never did complete that pesky Microscope multiball. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
ELVIS Stern (USA)Sold Great fun little game this, and it's a Steve Ritchie so it's all good. nice easy rules to this game - play all 5 'featured hits'(modes), collect all 5 'gifts' (drop targets and a saucer for each one), and get the top 10 'countdown' (shoot some blue shots) then you are in Graceland. along the way, the video mode was like the first ever dance game, Elvis the Pelvis himself swings his hips and raises his microphone to sing in time, and there's even a magnet for the SR signature cross-playfield shot, just like on Rollergames. Uh huh huh. this one is currently out on loan at a friend's house, a famous friend who's been on TV and everything. i expect he wants to buy it off me eventually, but make me an offer i can't refuse, and he can go piss up a rope. THIS ONE HAS NOW SADLY LEFT THE COLLECTION :'(
FAMILY GUY Stern (USA)Sold Fantastic game, full of humour and with loads to shoot for. Fart multiball. A mode where everyone vomits after drinking ipecac. A mode where Stewie becomes a woman, dons a strap-on, and literally fucks Lois. ok i made that last one up. no i didn't. yes i did. but which is it? THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
FISH TALES Williams (USA)Sold i never even saw this one. bought it, and had it delivered to a friend who wanted to borrow it. then someone else wanted to buy it, and my mate was happy to let it go, so it went straight from the friend's house to the new buyer without coming within 100 miles of me. seems fair enough to me, i never liked the game anyway as it's too hard :) THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
FLASH GORDON Bally (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
FREDDY: A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET Gottlieb (USA)Sold i had a great time with Freddy, despite some people telling me it was no good as a theme. with a fantastic detailed ugly Freddy head in the middle of the playfield, a knife-handed glove flipper, and a claw between the flippers to rake save a ball at the last second, this is a visually stunning piece of art. also great sounds, call-outs dots, lighting and humour. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
GODZILLA Sega (USA)Sold good fun Sega game, only 510 made and it features the longest ramp in pinball. plenty of multiballs and an attainable wizard mode in Save New York. the shaker motor is used to great effect, and there are even some playfield magnets, so it's not just a good looker but also surprisingly fun. i wrote a rulesheet for this game with lots of pictures in it. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
GOLDENEYE Data East (USA)Sold i really enjoyed Goldeneye, that satellite ramp that raises so you can stick a ball to the satellite is ace, as is the cool escape-or-die (is that what it's called?) that allows a last chance. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
GORGAR Williams (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
GUNS N' ROSES Data East (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
INDEPENDENCE DAY Sega (USA)Sold good fun little game this one, and this was a nice example. sold to a tall man with long hair like a girl. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
JACK*BOT Williams (USA)Sold a beautiful example, but THIS GAME HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :'(
JOHNNY MNEMONIC Williams (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
JOHNNY MNEMONIC Williams (USA)Sold Lovely jubbly. This is a fantastic game, super fast and great fun with that 'haptic glove' thingy and the extra buttons to move it forward and back, as well as left and right. the film is crap - i remembered it fondly, but watched it again recently and it is seriously bobbins. but the pin is acetastic THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
JURASSIC PARK Data East (USA)Sold one of Data East's best games, this is a players' example rather than a museum piece. if you want to polish and admire it, move on, but if you want to play pinball, this is a bargain. all works fine and nothing damaged or flaky in the playfield / flippers department, but the cab has various dents, scratches, divots, chunks in it, there is some rust in a siderail, and the backbox has no lock currently. oh, and no topper. but the T Rex moves just fine, the shaker motor works, and as i said, it's a game to be played rather than just admired. i also made a video and put it on youtube - search 'Pinball for sale: Jurassic Park' uploaded by shirleyknott1969. peace out dudes \m/ THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
LETHAL WEAPON 3 Data East (USA)Sold perfect first game for anyone entering the hobby, it's a 90s DMD with ace dots, sounds, art, rules and gameplay. all good things must end so this will be for sale at the South Coast Slam in April 2013 THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
MARY SHELLEY'S FRANKENSTEIN Sega (USA)Sold another fun one here, one of the better Segas. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
MONSTER BASH Williams (USA)Sold she's a lovely game, too easy for some people but not for me. a bit of wear on Dracula's track, but i've covered that up with a decal now, and the usual wear to the scoop, but again now protected by a Cliffy, so it's not visible, doesn't affect gameplay, and isn't getting worse. This game was on site in London at The Pipeline for 18 months but is now home and being enjoyed again. I said i'd never sell this when i bought it 4 years ago, but i found an even better example that obviously cost even more money .... but since this is a keeper of a game, i thought it was worth the upgrade. my MB will be one of the last to ever leave my collection if i ever thin the herd, as it's just such bloody good fun. decent playfield but the cab is a bit tatty, with wear around the legs, and a couple of chips out of the bottom of the backbox. all working though, plays with no errors and no problems with inserts or boards or any of that stuff. i made a video and put it up on youtube, but i can't include it here or it gets auto-deleted. find it on youtube using this search string: LItIXa0JZu8. it's also listed elsewhere and is not expected to be around for too long, as these games don't come up too often! THIS GAME HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :'(
NO GOOD GOFERS Williams (USA)Sold pics from previous owner but i'll put some up soon. i'd been after one of these for ages, so i didn't hesitate when one popped up for sale. it wasn't in perfect condition but i'm working on it - have stripped it down and given it a good clean, fitted a trough sleeve, remote battery holder, installed a new wheel decal and backboard decal, LEDs in the gofer spotlights, repaired the slam ramp and fitted felt under all the noisy moving parts. this is just good old fun - play golf by shooting 'drive' shots before going for the green, or just lock balls by raping the ramps and slapping Bud and Buzz for multiball fun. the slam ramp is a brilliant invention, sending the ball up to an area above the playfield with a golf cart and a chimney-like superb hole-in-one shot that never fails to satisfy. what do i like about it? well, it's colourful, it's noisy, it has humour and variety (lots of modes, three different multiballs), it has a wheel that you can control that directs what mode/award/feature comes up when you putt out to finish a hole .... i love the whole upper-upper playfield (the 'driving range') with it's inspired hole-in-one shot that is unlike anything else in pinball and is claimed by many to be pinball's greatest shot....and i love the fact that the scoring is exponential, in that shots become worth more the longer you build them up in the game. fun dot matrix animations, groovy entertaining music, and two sarcastic gofers that pop up to ridicule you in the game. all this and it's also a mid 90's Bally/Williams. what's not to like? this one is going nowhere.
PINBALL MAGIC Capcom (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON Stern (USA)Sold whaaaaaaatt? no way. they edited this writeup to nothing, all because i included a link to ipdb on it? or was it because i included a price in the description? those meanies. ok well this is by Pat Lawlor, he of TZ/TAF/NGG/RBION/FH/RS etc etc, and it's all about riding rollercoasters. the ball screams around the pf, including behind the flippers, and it's all very colourful and fun. five flippers, and a reasonably priced early Stern game that (apart from that horrific troll thing) is a fine feast of fun for the senses. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
ROLLERGAMES Williams (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :( but i'm sure i'll have another in the future. it's by far my favourite non-DMD game
ROLLERGAMES Williams (USA)Sold this one stands out for me because of the girl's bum in blue on the backglass. ok, it's fun to play and is by Steve Ritchie, but it's that bum that gets me every time. even better than the girl's bum in red on Goldeneye THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
SCARED STIFF Bally (USA)Sold awesome
SCARED STIFF Bally (USA)Sold another great fun game with lots of humour and playfield toys. another one with plenty of DMD fun, too. people say this is an easy game, and it's true that the Wizard mode Scared Stiff is easier than most to get to, but i've not yet finished the Spider Web. now it's sold but i'm pretty sure i'll want to own one in the future (if i'm still alive) as one of a final maybe 10-12 game collection of the best. don't underestimate SS, it's fucken wicked dude THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
SHREK Stern (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
SOUTH PARK Sega (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
SOUTH PARK Sega (USA)Sold if you love the TV programme, you'll love the pinball, even if it is a bit easy. i love it when the turds in the toilet spell multiball, and Mr hankey rises to talk to you. i love when you kill Kenny, and i love the carpet muunching video mode in the naughty ROMs. very enjoyable. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
SPACE JAM Sega (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION. IT WAS HIT WITH PICKAXES, FILLED WITH FIREWORKS, RUN OVER WITH A DUMPER TRUCK, AND SET ON FIRE
SPACE JAM Sega (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
SPIDER-MAN Stern (USA)Sold wicked. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION Williams (USA)Sold I paid way too much for this, as it was my first, and i got it from a professional who musta thought it was Christmas. still as awesome as it was when it was the one that drew me back into the hobby after 15 years away. it's a very nice example of the game, fully working, and currently out on loan at a friend's place. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :'(
SURF 'N SAFARI Gottlieb (USA)Sold A lovely alphanumeric Gottlieb from 1991, with Rockin Rodney the crocodile in sunglasses, urging you to ride the rapids and whirlpool etc. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
TALES FROM THE CRYPT Data East (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
TALES FROM THE CRYPT Data East (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
TALES OF THE ARABIAN NIGHTS Williams (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
THE ADDAMS FAMILY Williams (USA)Sold
THE SHADOW Midway (USA)Sold ex Pinball Heaven restoration, she truly is a beauty. i paid 1800 for her a while back(actually 1000 plus a South Park) so i'd accept 1850 to move her on. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
THE SIMPSONS Data East (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
THE SOPRANOS Stern (USA)Sold only sold because i found a nicer one, this is one of my favourite Sterns. i co-wrote a rulesheet for this game with lots of pictures in it. THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
TWISTER Sega (USA)Sold this one was on my list for ages as i remember playing it back in the 90s where it used to be in the lobby of a cinema in Manchester UK and also in my local arcade. i remembered the flying cow and the bit where the balls all group together and spin round, and needed to scratch that itch. a bit underwhelming but still to enjoy it for what it was and still is, pure unbridled entertainment baby! (yes, i know that a bridle is preferred for the best fun). THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :'(
WHITE WATER Williams (USA)Sold THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
WHO DUNNIT Midway (USA)Sold great little game, underrated fun. plenty to do and enjoyable sounds, dots and gameplay. my favourite was the roulette score gambler though! THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
WORLD CUP SOCCER Bally (USA)Sold i bought this to shop and give to my sister's four kids, all aged 5-10. i'm gonna miss it though, it's so much fun :) THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
WWF ROYAL RUMBLE Data East (USA)Sold great fun, but all good things must end so this will be for sale at the South Coast Slam in April 2013 THIS ONE HAS NOW LEFT THE COLLECTION :(
